Odds-n-sods

I have a much more substantive post planned for tomorrow (Hint: It's about a boat) but until then, I wanted to mention a few things.

1) The semi non-smoking thing is going fairly well. I've thus far limited my nicotine consumption for the past month or so to the weekends, which is actually easier than you might think. I know it's not fully quitting but hey, I went from smoking 20+ ciggies a day to about 20 in an entire weekend. Not bad. Still planning on complete nicotine cessation soon.

2) We broke bread (literally) over the weekend with Freakgirl. Also took her to the Beacon with Megs and Betty. So, yes there were four bloggers in the same room together. Thank god we have our own Secret Service detail. She was kind enough to add me to her links page, which explains the 100% increase in traffic here in the past few days. Thanks Deb. Be mindful folks, the whole world's watching now.

3) The second person to comment today to this post will be the 1,000th comment on this blog. Give yourself a hand, whomever you are.

4) Does anyone else think Nancy Grace is the most annoying woman on TV? I mean, Sean Vannity has it locked up on the male side, but there's some pretty worthwhile contenders on the female side.

OH YEAH! BOOYAH! What do I win?

Nancy Grace is totally annoying but Rita Cosby's (MSNBC) voice makes me want to set my ears on fire. They are both unwatchable. Almost every "news" reporter these days sucks huge amounts of old ass. They keep hiring all these ex-sports people and the end result is people screaming the "news" at you.

Bet you were hoping "old ass" would make it into your 1,000th comment!
